Depending on the stage of your college prep journey, there are many ways to approach the financial aid & scholarship journey when making financial preparations for college.  Parents eager to maximize their possible financial aid can start working towards this goal as EARLY as 8th grade, with opportunities to apply for scholarships and plan their curriculum to improve their chances. 

Most of our clients however are coming to us much later in the process, in their junior or senior year of high school. Getting started with Ms. Karen early in the junior year will significantly improve your chances of getting the best financial aid offers possible rather than waiting until the spring of your senior year when financial aid packages come out.  Even then however, Ms. Karen can help you appeal your financial aid offer! 

Financial aid award letters are often difficult for families to understand. Each college has a different way of describing how much a student or family is expected to pay. What awards are free? What will I have to pay back?
